DC – Seeking Volunteers

Please look after me

The good people at Dublin Contemporary are in need of a few extra volunteers as they head into their final weeks! If you have a few hours to spare, consider volunteering your time to help invigilate the many exhibits in this massive show…

Volunteer Invigilators and Friendly Faces

Role Description:

Our primary function as volunteers is to protect the artwork from the curious fingers of interested visitors (adults as well as children!). We need social skills in every room (70+ rooms in main venue, purpose built for exhibitions in the 1800s), so that the art is returned to its owners unharmed when DC11 ends.

Our secondary function is to make people feel welcome. We want people who are happy to be here and who let it show. You would be amazed if you knew the effect that your smile could have on a visitor’s experience.

We also have events, at which we need help of the same sort, just out of normal hours; most of our events happen on weekday evenings and would request that volunteers could arrive as early as 16.30, staying sometimes up to 22.00.

Time commitment:

One or more 4.5/5 hour shifts a week.
