A few general points about internships to keep in mind:

• Do read all specifications before applying for internship posts, as they vary widely in duration, paid/unpaid status, formality of structure, etc. The principle of an internship is that there is a fair exchange of learning/training by an organisation and work/assistance contributed by the intern, over a defined period. Agreeing terms of an internship in writing prior to commencement is recommended for both parties.
• JobBridge is a new FAS initiative providing 6-9 month internship opportunities across many sectors, including the arts. JobBridge has more or less replaced the FAS Work Placement Programme (although a few positions are still advertised on the WPP site). A full listing of openings is available from their website; I don’t (in general) replicate those openings here (unless requested), so I suggest anyone looking for an internship check there too!
